Ethan Bach holds an MFA in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute â one of the most rigorous programs in immersive and interactive media in the country. That foundation runs through everything Alt Ethos builds.
Over three decades as a working artist and producer, his work has been exhibited and produced on five continents: North America, South America, Europe, South Asia, and beyond. From Bucharest to Bangalore, Glasgow to Santa Fe, London to Los Angeles â work that crossed borders because it had something to say regardless of them. He has led projects for the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, and civic arts commissions across New Mexico and Colorado â including a $575,000 technology research grant as Principal Investigator. A Cannes Film Festival premiere. A permanent installation in downtown Fort Collins that activates every night from sundown to 2am and has never stopped running since it was installed.
He has taught at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the Institute of American Indian Arts, Santa Fe Community College, and New Mexico Highlands University â building curricula for immersive media, digital dome production, and new media arts that didn't exist before he wrote them. He co-founded Denver Arts + Technology Advancement, produced internationally touring dome programs, and has served as a juror, panelist, and curator at institutions and festivals across three continents.
Alt Ethos is the product of all of it. The studio exists because one person spent decades learning how to make spaces that matter â and decided to build a practice around it.

Design Strategy
Before a single dollar goes to production, we think. Spatial language, narrative arc, technology selection, collaborator assembly. The strategy is the foundation everything else is built on.

Production
We assemble and lead the right team for the right project â creative direction, technical execution, vendor coordination, site management. Everything from first sketch to final load-out.

Delivery
On time. Within budget. With documentation, post-production support, and the institutional knowledge to maintain, iterate, and expand what we built together.
